"I just felt so much guilt, so much hurt, and so much pain that I didn't know how to deal with it....it's something that happened, it doesn't define me....I can't say that I have it all figured out; but, I do know that we're not about the things that happened in our lives, they shape us but they're not who we are - it's about what God sees and He sees something that's wonderful and He can use that brokenness." --Lexie Montgomery
Sometimes life happens and we are faced with having to deal with the tough stuff. That's where WIBI Opening Act winner Lexie Montgomery was just a few years ago when suddenly she was faced with dealing with life after divorce. This morning, I had the privilege of sitting down with Lexie and her Mom Della to have a very honest conversation about dealing with divorce. I've been praying about this show for a couple of weeks now and it is my great prayer today that you are encouraged by Lexie's story and her honesty about what God has brought her through. I hope that if you or someone you know and love is walking that road today that you will find hope through what Lexie and her Mom shared this morning. You can listen to our entire conversation here:
If you are dealing with divorce and looking for resources and support, you can find a group at a local church and lots of information on finding help and healing at http://www.divorcecare.org.
